The director of the movie Hari , used his usual way of story formation in this movie also. We can easily guess his movie stories by watching the movie stills and we can guess the story. In vengai movie also he covered the Mass heroism, a love story that involves family members of both sides, a tough combat between goodie and baddie, sentiments poured down now and then. This movie is all about the relationship between a father and a son against the baddie.

The entire story moves around a village called Pandaipuram near Sivaganagai. Raj Kiran (VeeraPandi) is the Father of our hero Dhanush (Selvam). VeeraPandi has great influence in that village, before this also we seen Raj Kiran in this type of character in SandaKozhi. Prakash Raj (RajaPandian) is a politician in that village. He wants to become MLA in that village so he asks Veerapandi to Support him, and he also agrees to support him by getting a Oath that Rajapandian will do good things to the Village. For the words of Veerapandi, all peoples votes for him and selects him as MLA.

After the election Rajapandian brings out his original face and does all illegal activities to make money. When Veerapandi coming to know this, he got angry and tries to stop him. Selvam (Dhanush) who comes to know about his activities tries to fight against him but his father Veerapandi don't want him to put him in these activities and sends him to trichy 

There Selvam comes to meet Thamanna (Radhika) who is his childhood friend and within no time they fall in love with each other. And again the story moves to the village, there Raajapandian thinks that Veerapandi is always a trouble for him and his activities so he decides to finish him and Selvam is came to know this. From here the further story starts and moves how the Selvam takes revenge to Raajapandian and how he saves his dad and how he wins in his love...

Devi Sri Prasad's music is totally energetic. The 'Kalakathala' song shows Thamanna more beautiful and 'Enna Solla Poora' and 'Una Mattum Pudikuthu' song makes everyone to dance in theater. And  Ganja Karuppu is completely annoying with his comedy tracks. Totally this movie is a complete entertainer for the people who needs a usual, action based film.

After an average outing in 'Alibaba', Krishna (brother of director Vishnuvardhan) is out with 'Kattaradhu Kalavu', which is about a conman, who faces stiff challenges in his life once he reforms.

Written and directed by debutant Balaji Devi Prasad, the movie has a pacy screenplay and crisp dialogues. It is a simple film with enough commerical elements to enthuse audience. However a lengthy latter half and scenes defying logic are the movie's eye-sore.

Krishna has come a long way from 'Alibaba', He is the pillar around whom the whole movie revolves. He flexes his muscles and romances Vijayalakshmi. As a crazy conman. he comes in different get-ups.

Besides, there are enough artistes including Sampth Raj (who does a Prakash Raj), Santhana Bharathi, choreographer Kalyan and V M C Haneefa among others in the cast.

Krishna (Krishna) and Krishnaveni (Vijayalakshmi) come to Rameswaram and get married in the temple. Soon after their wedding, they are chased by a police team led by top cop (Kalyan) from Delhi.

They are given refuge by a flower vendor (Sampath Raj). After reaching his house, they come to know that he is a police officer with the State government. He threatens them to divulge details of their Past.

Cut to flashback, it is revealed that Krishna, Cheated by a banker (Santhana Bharathi) decides to earn money by cheating people. He comes across Krishnaveni, who wants to become an air-hostess, but cold not achieve her ambitions.

Both make money only to realise that they are in love. Meanwhile, they hatch a conspiracy and con a Union Minister (Haneefa) and take away money from him threatening that they have video tapes of his shady dealings.

As a result, a police team from New Delhi and another from the State government are behind them. How the couple manages to escape and achieve their ambition to lead a happy life thereafter is the climax.

Krishna is tailor-made for the role, while Vijayalakshmi is okay. Sampath Raj is the revelation in the film. He does his part well delivering a decent performance. Kalyan disappoints with his one-dimensional output.

Paul J's music is average and the title song in the form of rap is energetic. Neerav Shah's cinematography is the highlight of the movie. His lens captures the spiritual town of Rameswaram well. Produced by 'Pattiyal' Shekar and Chehak Kapoor, the movie promises aplenty as it begins. But delivers them in parts.

Singam Movie Preview : Surya's upcomeing latest movie is singam. Singam Surya's upcomeing movie is his 25^th film. Surya's Previous movies like 'Varanam Ayiram' and 'Ayan' are a big succes.

Singam movie revolves around the smuggling activities that place in Rameshwaram. In Singam movie, Surya plays the role of a diligent police officer after his successful film Khakka Khakka. The Singam Tamil film is said to have the right mix of sentiments and comedy like all. This is smililar to previous film of director Hari who is the writer director of this film. This is Surya's third film with director Hari.

Sura is about the lives and plight of the fishermen living in Yazh Nagar a fishing hamlet in Tamilnadu. The story no doubt centres only on Vijay who is known as Sura. It's Vijay's attempt to thwart the efforts of villain Dev Gill from aquiring the hamlet to develop it into a resort. Then the hero fights for justice and dramatically obtains Patta for the land so that everyone living there could build a house. Howe'er the duel between the hero and villain could have been more gripping.

The role of heroine in this film leaves a lot of room for debate- is it really essential to have one in Sura? Thamanna appears in some dance sequences, a few scenes and in all adorns the movie as a glamour piece. This is perhaps the first film where Thamanna marries on screen! Yes Sura ends on a happy note with the lead pair enterin wed lock. Talking about the heroine her introduction itself is very amusing. Thamanna attempts suicide by drowning in the sea, for the pet dog goes missing. Ofcourse the hero makes his dramatic appearance to save her. Somewhere in the middle, the love blossoms and then follows a couple of duets.

While talking about  the hero Vijay's introduction it's e'en more amusing than the heroine's and needs a special mention here. The movie begins with a cyclone hitting the fishing hamlet moving back to the shores for safety. Vijay ofcourse is missing and  e'eryone is in search of him. Being the hero he saves one and all before making a very dramatic appearance from mid-sea.

The fights in Sura could have been choreographed well, considering Vijay's performance levels in other films. Though there are some gravity-defying stunts, the fight seems to lack the punch and force that one usually one usuallly associates with a performer like Vijay. For an excellent dancer this film offers a very little scope for exhibiting his dance skills too. The Bommayi song happens to be that 'once more' type while all other doesn't turn up the heat.

Vadivelu's mere presence is enjoyable and there's nothing much to say about the comedy track. The scenes with Vennira Aadai Moorthi are notable. There are umpteen numbers of irrational scenes in the film that has e'en the Vijay fans squirm in their seats with dissatisfication. Vijay has made sure to draw the attention of Tamil audience by addressing the sensitive Sri Lankan Tamils issue and the Rameshwaram fishermen's plight. These scenes were probably included to pacify the Tamils.

The negative aspects of Sura are no doubt the Music, Illogical, Gravity defying stunts, Slow moving scenes.

In short Sura is a usual Vijay fare that will be a treat for his hard core fans.
